Tioga has established an impressive and intensive training program for all relevant levels of its staff covering the international recognised IPC 610 rev D standard, the nationally recognised NVQ qualification system, ISO 9001:2008 and an internal health and safety program.

Tioga recognised many years ago that it needed to implement a high quality training program into its facility in Derby. We achieved ISO:9002 in September 1999 which we continued with annual audits by BSI with no non-conformances until our reassessment to the now internationally recognised BS EN ISO 9001:2008 with bi-annual audits still with BSI and again with no non-conformances.

We implemented an IPC610 rev D training program where we run weekly training sessions covering all aspects of the internationally recognised workmanship standards. All operates are trained, tested and certified as to their levels of competence and a continual improvement program is in place to assist in each operator achieving a standard of expertise and acceptance. Each operator receives a certificate showing their level of performance and competence.

During early 2008 Tioga implemented an NVQ level 2 training program in ‘Improvement in Business Techniques’ for all staff who wished to participate, which we are pleased to say the majority did, throughout this year they will have an external training company ‘Peach Orator’ implement, train, test and hopefully pass each candidate to this qualification standard.
